Leeds United forward Rodrigo has taken to Instagram to provide an update amid the concerns over his reported injury issue.

It was claimed earlier in the week by reliable journalist Phil Hay that Rodrigo was suffering from a tight quad in their victory on the weekend.

Does Rodrigo have a future with Leeds?

No

No

The update from Hay came just a matter of days before Jesse Marsch’s side return to action in the Premier League on Friday against Wolverhampton Wanderers:

“Rodrigo is a doubt for Friday night’s game away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, though not ruled out at this stage,” Hay wrote for The Athletic.

He has since stated that the attacker was due to train today, which resonates with his latest Instagram post.

With some potential concern over the 31-year-old, he responded on Instagram with a post flexing his new boots.

Indeed, he posted two images from inside the Thorp Arch dressing room showing him booted up for Thursday’s training session ahead of their trip to the Midlands, captioned: “Let’s go!”

Rodrigo netted in their previous outing on the weekend against Dean Smith’s Canaries which proved to be the first win in the new era under the American manager.

The goal on the weekend was just Rodrigo’s fourth of the season but is his third goal involvement in his last eight Premier League appearances (via Transfermarkt).

And it is apparent the Spaniard has impressed the new boss both on and off the pitch following his team get together for his birthday to raise the spirits of the Yorkshire side.

With Patrick Bamford making a slow return to the starting XI, Rodrigo’s possible return from this injury scare will come as good news to the fans and Marsch having found the back of the net on Sunday.
