Insider ExWHUemployee has revealed West Ham United injury news that Nikola Vlasic and Aaron Cresswell ‘could feature’ against this week despite injury fears.

Over the weekend, the Hammers beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the Premier League. But they had to do it without Vlasic, who had picked up an injury before the match. They also had to finish the game without Cresswell, who had to be subbed off after picking up a knock.

With the pair evidently having fitness struggles, and with a Europa League second-leg match coming up this week, David Moyes may well have been fearing the worst.

However, while writing on The West Ham Way Patreon page, Ex revealed some good news as the injuries to either player are not considered serious, giving them a shot of being fit to play against Sevilla.

He said: “There seems to be more positive thoughts at this point for Vlasic, who had a knock and missed Villa and Cresswell, who came off in the same game. Both are not considered, at this point, serious and could feature against Sevilla.”

TIF thoughts on Nikola Vlasic and Aaron Cresswell and West Ham…

Considering there are huge doubts over the fitness of a number of first-team West Ham players – including Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio – fans will be relieved to hear that Vlasic and Cresswell could be fit to play in Europe.

Vlasic hasn’t had the greatest of debut seasons in England so far – as some of his underlying stats show – but with Bowen likely to miss out, Moyes will be glad to have this player available to him.

Having played 29 games across all competitions for West Ham this season, Cresswell is very much the club’s first-choice left-back. Having him fit will also be a big boost for the Irons.
