Former Sky Sports broadcaster Richard Keys has given his thoughts that have come out from Manchester United’s Paul Pogba about his time at the club.

The 29-year-old midfielder is entering the final six months of his deal at the club, however, the club have reportedly been trying since last summer to try and get that deal extended, but based on his comments during a recent interview, you feel as though those talks aren’t going to lead to much.

Speaking with French outlet Le Figaro (via The Daily Mail), the Frenchman opened up about his time at Old Trafford, and seemed to suggest that he had wasted a lot of his time during his second spell at Manchester United, suggesting that a lot of it had fallen short of what he expected to happen:

Manchester United fans, do you remember how many points you picked up in seasons gone by? Let's find out, starting with 2020/21

“You have to be honest, the last five seasons have not satisfied me – really not at all.”

“This year it is dead, we won’t win anything. Whether it is with Manchester United or at another club, I want to win trophies.”

Taking to Twitter in response to the comments, Keys slammed the Frenchman for his remarks, suggesting that his former managers from his time at the club might have something to say about it and that this may well be the final straw when it comes to his time at the club:

Will Pogba still be at the club next season?

And Keys is right to be up in arms about his remarks, because it isn’t as if Pogba hasn’t played a part in the lack of trophies which haven’t been prevalent since his debut season in 2016/17.

With just 39 goals since re-joining the club in 2016, he hasn’t exactly lived up to expectations following his then-world-record move, not helped by the attitude problems that have plagued his time at the club which have resulted in the club not being on their third permanent manager since Pogba came back to the club.

These comments may very well be the final nail in the coffin when it comes to Pogba’s time at Old Trafford, but with a new manager on the way, nothing can be rules out at this stage, especially if it’s one that Pogba thinks can help deliver the trophies that he has been calling for.
