The Whites suffered yet another heavy defeat, this time at the hands of Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa, who ran out 3-0 winners in West Yorkshire.

Defeat on Thursday night now means Leeds have lost their last six Premier League games, in which they have conceded 21 goals and scored just twice.

And in the first home game since the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa, Cross revealed the frustrations among the fans, with Marsch stood in the dugout:

“Soon after the third goal went in, a Leeds scarf was thrown from the John Charles Stand into the technical area by Marsch’s feet,” Cross wrote for Leeds Live.

He added: “Martin Sykes, the club’s security chief, recovered the garment quickly, but the message had been sent and seen.”

TIF Thoughts on Cross’ claim…

The Leeds fans will understandably be furious with the way things are going on the pitch after what was a stunning first season back in the Premier League last term.

And there is also clearly some frustrations among the fans following the sacking of Bielsa, with Marsch taking over in the Argentine’s place.

But with just 10 games remaining, the 48-year-old will have no other choice but to find some improved form with the Whites sitting dangerously close to the relegation zone.
