An Everton Instagram post displays Donny van de Beek scoring a thumping goal in training, which could be a sign of things to come for the Toffees fans.

Van de Beek signed for Everton on loan in January from Manchester United after only featured eight times for the Red Devils this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.

The Dutch midfielder showed promising signs on his full debut under Frank Lampard against Leeds United, while the former England midfielder has praised the 24-year-old’s performance.

Everton have struggled this season and have won just once out of their previous six league games, meaning they sit third-bottom in the Premier League form table.

If Lampard wants to turn things around for the Toffees and secure Premier League safety, then he will need the Dutch midfielder to produce some magic, as he did in training, which was displayed in a post on Instagram.

The post was captioned: “Donny coming in hot.”

TIF Thoughts on Donny van de Beek…

Van de Beek is a midfielder who has been utilised in various roles within the centre of midfield, as per WhoScored, so he can offer great versatility to Frank Lampard as he seeks to spur his side onto safety.

The 24-year-old midfielder has shown that he can score goals and create them by providing his teammates – for Ajax in the 2019/20 campaign, he scored eight goals and registered five assists in 23 Eredivisie games.

Everton have struggled in an attacking sense this season, as only six sides have scored less often than them, so Van de Beek could help this issue if he revisited his form from his time at Ajax.
