Everton fans will likely be concerned to see that Richarlison has an alleged value of as little as £25m amid talk of a possible transfer departure.

Indeed, this week, it was reported by Caught Offside that Manchester United are eyeing up the Toffees striker with a view to possibly having him replace Cristiano Ronaldo, should the former Real Madrid man opt to leave the club at the end of the season.

The same report explains that – with United trying to prepare in case of a departure – the club’s head of transfers Matt Judge recently held talks with Richarlison’s representatives.

Those talks would have likely also addressed the potential figure it would take to tempt Everton into a sale. With that in mind, it is interesting to see that, according to the CIES Football Observatory – a database that uses an econometric approach to assess the transfer value of professional footballers on a scientific basis – the player’s transfer value is between €30m-€40m (which is about £25m-£33m).

TIF Verdict on Richarlison and Everton…

Considering Everton paid an initial £35m to sign the Brazilian from Watford back in 2018, supporters may well be concerned to see that the player may not warrant the Toffees receiving a profit for Richarlison.

Sadly, recent performances certainly would not have done much to add to the forward’s value. After playing in Everton’s most recent 5-0 thumping at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur, the Liverpool Echo gave Richarlison a four out of ten player rating and claimed he ‘desperately needs to get back to the form shown in his first two seasons’.

Taking it all into account, if the Toffees do sell this summer, there’s no guarantee they’ll make a profit on the striker.
