Journalist Paul Brown has claimed that Vitaliy Mykolenko could see some more game time in the following weeks for Everton under Frank Lampard.
Vitaliy Mykolenko has featured just three times for the Toffees after the former Everton boss Rafa Benitez signed him in January for £17 million from Dynamo Kyiv, according to Transfermarkt.
Mykolenko started for the Toffees against Wolves on Sunday at left-wing-back but was brought off on the hour mark for Dele Alli as Everton looked to push for a goal.
Game time has been hard to come by for him at Everton since he signed, but this could be down to the sacking of Benitez who initially brought him into the club, as well as dealing with things going on in his home country.
However, Paul Brown spoke to GIVEMESPORT and claimed that he could see an increase in minutes under Lampard in the remainder of the season.
“I think for the long-term, even for the rest of this season, you’ll probably see Lampard relying on Mykolenko a little bit more,” Brown said

Vitaliy Mykolenko has somewhat struggled to gain any momentum after being used sparingly by Frank Lampard, he has an average player rating of 6.7 in the Premier League over the three games he has played, as per Sofascore, but impressed during his side’s triumph in the FA Cup against Boreham Wood when he was awarded a player rating of 7.2, with the only defender out of the five for the Toffees on that day who earned a higher rating being Jonjoe Kenny.
Everton sit just one place above the drop zone, with only three points more than Watford who sit one place below them, so if Frank Lampard wants to ensure Premier League safety then he may have to shuffle the pack and play some different faces, just like he did last night with Alex Iwobi popping up with the winner.
Ben Godfrey who occupied the left-back position last night was the third lowest rated performer according to SofaScore, so perhaps a change could be on the cards if Lampard sees fit.
