Everton winger Alex Iwobi has seemingly sent manager Frank Lampard a message after being dropped to the bench in recent games.

As things stand, the Toffees look to be caught in a crisis. Indeed, following some poor recent form, they have dropped to 17th in the Premier League table and only remain out of the bottom three due to goal difference.

In their last two matches, they have been beaten 5-0 by Tottenham Hotspur away from home, and then 1-0 by Wolves at Goodison Park.

For those games, Lampard opted to leave Iwobi on the bench and it seems as though the former Arsenal man has tried to prove a point with his latest Instagram story.

Indeed, the 25-year-old shared a collage of himself working hard on a treadmill trying to maintain peak fitness away from the football pitch.

TIF thoughts on Alex Iwobi and Everton…

Since arriving from Arsenal for a reported fee of £34m back in the summer of 2019, it’s fair to say things haven’t gone to plan for the winger.

Indeed, he has scored just six goals and claimed six assists in 84 outings for Everton since the move. Now, things seem to be going from bad to worse as the Nigerian can’t even get off the bench despite his club’s recent troubles.
