Wolves midfielder Daniel Podence has sent a rallying cry following their recent victory in the Premier League.

Wolves’ hopes of qualifying for Europe for next season took a major boost this past weekend, as they emerged 2-1 winners at Molineux to keep themselves within the top seven of the Premier League.

Fitness issues plagued Silvio's career, but where did Wolves sign him from?

Goals from Ruben Neves and Podence either side of Ademola Lookman’s equaliser were enough to see them through to victory over Leicester City in a game held in such terrible conditions that part of the stadium had to be closed, with fans moved from their seats.

Taking to Instagram after the victory, the Portuguese forward posted some photos of him celebrating the winning goal, which just so happened to be the 26-year-old’s first in the Premier League this season, along with the message: “Great Win Today! Keep It Like That. Building Something Different.”

The message of ‘building something different’ is pretty pertinent for this Wolves side, who are very much back on the upward trend following last season’s disappointment.

And whilst they might not be the most entertaining side in the league in terms of the ball hitting the back of the net at either end (their games have seen just 41 goals this season, the fewest of any team in the league), if it’s proving successful, they need to just keep rolling with it.

And who knows where it could end up taking them, both this season and beyond? One thing is for certain: if they’re able to make it into Europe and earn both the prestige and the financial benefits that come with it, it could set them up very nicely for the future.
