Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Cristian Romero has taken to Instagram to provide fans with a potentially big hint as to whether he will be playing on Saturday.

The Argentine has been out of action for a number of months after sustaining a serious hamstring issue in November whilst away on international duty.

Would you start Romero on Saturday?

Just a matter of days away from Tottenham’s return to action in the FA Cup against Brighton & Hove Albion, Romero posted two images of himself in training with the caption: “Ready to go back.”

Romero has now been training with the first team for a number of weeks, however, his latest post could suggest he may be making his return to the pitch this weekend.

After joining in the summer, Spurs fans have barely seen the 23-year-old in action, with just 533 minutes of Premier League action under his belt.

Without Romero, Davinson Sanchez has played a big role in the Spurs defence, with the Colombian playing in the last nine consecutive league games.

And Spurs could also be boosted by the return of Son Heung-min, as the South Korean was also spotted back in training after around a month on the sidelines with a muscle strain.

With a spot in the top four being the club’s main goal for the season, could the FA Cup clash on the weekend be the perfect opportunity to ease Romero back into Antonio Conte’s squad?
