Tottenham Hotspur brushed aside Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to book their place in the FA Cup fifth round.

Harry Kane bagged a brace while a Solly March own goal completed the scoring for the hosts. Brighton did have something to celebrate as potential Spurs target Yves Bissouma showed the Spurs faithful what he can do, scoring what turned out to be just a consolation for the visitors.

A 3-1 win in the FA Cup against Premier League opposition meant that Alasdair Gold’s match ratings were highly positive, however one performance stood out for the wrong reasons – Lucas Moura receiving a five for his efforts.

He had this to say on the Spurs forward: “A sloppy first half with some struggles to keep hold of the ball. He failed to make an impact in the second period before coming off with just over 20 minutes to go. 5

The stats don’t get much better for Lucas either. For someone part of the front three he had little impact like Gold said. He didn’t attempt a shot all game or a cross, something you don’t expect to see from an attacker.

Which player scored Spurs' first goal of the Premier League campaign?

The £80k-a-week earning Lucas also lost possession a whopping 17 times in the 68 minutes he played before being replaced – the most of any player on the pitch. So Gold is spot on, he was sloppy.

This isn’t the sort of performance Lucas will have been after, especially when you consider that after the January arrival of Dejan Kulusevski, his place in the team down that right hand side could be under threat, especially if he keeps delivering sub-par performances.
