Reliable Tottenham Hotspur journalist Alasdair Gold has claimed the Lilywhites’ biggest issue going into the rest of the season will be a lack of creativity.
With the January window now shut, Antonio Conte’s side is set for the 2021/22 run-in, as Spurs target a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Spurs saw more outgoings than new arrivals over the month of January, with three of their creative-minded midfielders departing in Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Dele Alli.
It has been a difficult couple of years for the trio in north London, with just the one Premier League assist between them in the 2021/22 campaign.
However, their departures were not met with direct replacements, as defensive midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur and winger Dejan Kulusevski were brought in by Fabio Paratici.
“The problem that lies ahead in the remainder of this season is that Conte’s squad has been shorn of much of its creativity in one day,” wrote Gold for football.london.

Spurs will go into the remainder of the 2021/22 season with no real attacking midfielder in their squad now the trio of players have departed Hotspur Way.
But Conte has not typically played with a formation that would accommodate the likes of Lo Celso to play in behind the striker without the defensive responsibilities.
Instead, Conte has put big responsibility on the shoulders of his wingers, and that can be seen through the improved form of Lucas Moura, who has been able to score five times and provide four assists under the Italian.
And Spurs have added in that department with Kulusevski, as well as kept hold of Steven Bergwijn, who stole the headlines last month against Leicester City.
