Newcastle United’s Isaac Hayden has posted a picture on Instagram of him back on a training bike as he aims to get back from injury.
Hayden suffered a long-term injury at the end of last year which forced him to undergo surgery, however, his absence has clearly not been felt that much, with a midfield trio of Jonjo Shelvey, Joe Willock and Joelinton all starting during the Magpies’ recent run of superb form.

While Hayden himself was cut from Eddie Howe’s 25-man Premier League squad for the second half of the season due to the extent of his injury, he’ll be hopeful of making a swift return to be ready for pre-season training, whatever league Newcastle find themselves in.
That’s exactly what he appears to be doing, with the midfielder seemingly using external assistance to aid him in his recovery from injury, using NAS bikes to get him back up to speed and fitness.

The midfielder was clearly gutted over being left out of the 25-man squad, as he posted on Instagram he was ‘bitterly disappointed‘ to be left out, but that he would still be there to help the team out in any way possible.
Hayden has been a very loyal servant for Newcastle as he helped them get out of the Championship and has gone on to rack up 171 appearances for the Magpies, featuring quite heavily under former managers Rafael Benitez and Steve Bruce, but with the club’s newfound riches and the direction they are wanting to go, it could be coming to the end of the road for Hayden and his time at Newcastle.
