Leeds United ace Stuart Dallas was spotted by Beren Cross on Wednesday night venting his frustrations with Raphinha during their big defeat in the Premier League.

The midweek clash at Anfield has left Marcelo Bielsa’s side sitting dangerously close to the relegation zone and with the possibility of dropping into the bottom three by the end of the weekend.

Should Raphinha be dropped for Saturday?

A further six goals were conceded at the hands of Liverpool on Wednesday night and it was the opening goal that left Dallas furious with the Brazilian.

Mohamed Salah converted from the spot after a handball was awarded against Dallas and it was apparent the Northern Irish defender was not impressed by Raphinha’s lack of defensive effort.

And Cross noticed the 30-year-old’s anger at having been left to deal with both Andrew Robertson and Luis Diaz as Raphinha failed to track back inside the opening 15 minutes of the game:

“As soon as Stuart Dallas saw the penalty awarded he slapped his legs in frustration. His look at Raphinha said it all. He should have never been in a situation where he had to handle Andy Robertson and Luis Diaz at once,” wrote Cross for Leeds Live.

TIF Thoughts on Raphinha’s efforts…

It was a miserable night for Leeds and evidently for Raphinha, too. The Brazilian was awarded a 3/10 rating by Cross in his post-game player ratings.

And it is apparent there were already concerns over the 25-year-old’s willingness to track back after he was benched last weekend, while his defensive efforts were questioned by Cross.

Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to Elland Road at the weekend, and with Antonio Conte playing with wing-backs, it will be interesting to see if Raphinha’s defensive efforts improve for the clash on Saturday.
