Donny van de Beek’s latest post to Instagram has left Premier League legend Ian Wright buzzing following the Dutchman’s recent move to Everton.

The Toffees returned to action at the weekend with a clash at Goodison Park, which saw Everton cruise to a comfortable 4-1 win in the FA Cup against Brentford.

Who will prove the better signing?

And as Frank Lampard marked his first game as manager, Van de Beek and Dele Alli were introduced to the fans, with the pair unable to feature as they’re cup-tied.

Following the game, the 24-year-old midfielder took to Instagram to share a photo of himself being introduced to the Goodison Park faithful.

The Dutchman captioned the Instagram post with: “A wonderful first experience of Goodison Park and a great win from the team. See you next week!”

And the post saw former Arsenal striker Wright share his delight, with Van de Beek finding a way out of Manchester United where he struggled massively for game time.

Wright commented on the Dutchman’s post with five heart emojis, in what has been the latest of his public support of the midfielder.

Last week, the 58-year-old voiced his hopes of Van de Beek finding his feet at Everton in a similar fashion to which Jesse Lingard did at West Ham United last season.

“I’m hoping that can work for him, he’s going to need a bit of time but then again I hope he doesn’t need that bit of time so he can show, like what Jesse [Lingard] done [when he] went to West Ham and was just blasting,” he told The Ringer podcast (via MEN).

Having been unable to play in the game on Saturday, Wright may have one eye on Everton’s game on Tuesday against Newcastle United to see if Van de Beek makes his debut for the Toffees.
