Alan Myers has been speaking on the All Together Now podcast about the key thing Everton have to get right if they want to be successful.

Everton managed to secure their biggest win in the Premier League this season on Saturday when they breezed past Leeds United 3-0, handing Frank Lampard his first win as Toffees boss in the Premier League.

Will Lampard bring success to Everton?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

If the Toffees are to get things right on the pitch and bring some success to Goodison Park, then there must be a good and solid connection off the pitch, with the manager, players, owner and fans all needing to be pulling in the same direction, which they certainly weren’t doing under Rafael Benitez as protests were staged both in and outside of the ground.

Myers believes that all successful teams have a unified club – something Everton have to establish under Lampard.

“I’ve been in and around both from a media side and from working at clubs, I’ve been around dressing rooms, I’ve been around clubs. I’ve seen successful clubs, I’ve seen [they] all have the same thing, and that’s a unified club.

“Don’t get me wrong, you can be unified and still not win – that doesn’t guarantee you to win trophies and to win things. What I know for sure is that unless you are unified as a club, you will not win anything and you won’t do well.”

TIF Thoughts on Everton moving forward…

Earlier in the season, Everton were a fractured club, with the fans unhappy at both the board and manager as the latter was a former Liverpool boss, but now under Lampard, there seems to be renewed hope as he realised their faults against Newcastle United by changing his system and formation from a back three to a back four, which brought about success on Saturday.

With Lampard, Everton have a young manager who they can mould their future around if he can keep them up this season, as even the players are loving what he’s brought to the club, with Anthony Gordon claiming Lampard is a ‘tactical genius’.
