While speaking on the Que Golazo YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal are expecting to do big business this summer.

Arsenal surprisingly did no business last month when it came to new arrivals, despite the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Folarin Balogun leaving the club, leaving Mikel Arteta with just two first-team strikers in the form of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah – with the latter having just five Premier League goals during his career.

Will Arsenal make the top four?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The Gunners may be anxiously looking to the summer, as their two strikers at the club are both out of contract at the end of the season, which will signal a huge reshape at the Emirates Stadium ahead, especially in the attacking department.

Romano has told Gunners fans not to panic ahead of the summer transfer window.

“I want to tell Arsenal fans don’t worry, that the summer will be busy for Arsenal.

“They will go for a new midfielder, a new top striker, so don’t worry. They will do something important.”

TIF Thoughts on Arsenal’s transfer plans…

Since the appointment of Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have seen the board clearly back the manager when it comes to moving players on and replacing them with youthful ones ready to battle and build something promising at the Emirates, with Mesut Ozil and Aubameyang having left in recent times, while arrivals such as Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White show a clear plan for the future.

Something that may excite Arsenal fans is that their owner, Stan Kroenke, has just seen his LA Rams team win the Super Bowl after throwing a lot of money and high-calibre and experienced players – showing that money does lead to success, and he may well look to do the same with Arsenal this summer with players such as Alexander Isak and Dominic Calvert-Lewin linked with big-money moves recently.

Whether he will treat Arsenal in the same way as his NFL franchise remains to be seen, but plenty of activity in the transfer market appears to be on the agenda regardless ahead of the summer.
