Lots of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share their delight at the latest update to surface on their defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.
It was announced on Friday night that the American defender had not been called up for the USMNT’s squad for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers at the end of the month.

As a result, the 24-year-old defender will now be available for selection for their upcoming clash in the Scottish Premiership against their city rivals on 2 February.
Reports have claimed the Hoops are in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a potential permanent deal for the centre-back, and it was clear to see how much of an impression he has made on the fans at Parkhead.
What did these Celtic fans have to say?
“They must have some class centre backs if he can’t make the squad”
Since arriving in Glasgow, the 24-year-old has been a regular feature in Ange Postecoglou’s XI with 25 appearances already to his name this season (via Transfermarkt).
Carter-Vickers had not joined the Hoops in time for the first derby of the campaign and having tasted defeat, it is apparent these fans feel the inclusion of the defender man will boost their chances of taking the points.
