The Lilywhites suffered defeat in the first-leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge, which saw the hosts take a 2-0 advantage into next week’s game.
Hojbjerg was among Antonio Conte’s starting XI on the night and played the full 90 minutes, however, it was apparent the Danish international’s display against Chelsea did not leave many fans impressed.
The uncomfortable display in the middle of the pitch was certainly picked up on by these Spurs fans who flocked to Twitter to share their concerns with the Danish ace.
What did these Spurs fans have to say?
Conte elected to substitute Oliver Skipp over the Dane in the second half of the game despite Hojberg finding himself dispossessed twice during the game.
Hojbjerg’s record of making the starting XI since he arrived in north London is pretty remarkable, however, it is apparent these fans feel it is time for the 26-year-old to spend a spell on the sidelines.
