Tottenham Hotspur correspondent Alasdair Gold has been speaking on his YouTube channel to discuss the club’s interest in Keane Lewis-Potter.

According to the reliable journalist, the Lilywhites have been in touch with the Hull City star’s representatives over a potential switch to north London.

No

However, Gold did provide a caveat with his claim, suggesting a possible swoop for the 20-year-old winger would be something the Lilywhites would look to pursue in the summer.

The youngster has shown some early signs of promise in the Championship this season, with five goals and four assists in the 27 appearances he has made for the Tigers (via Transfermarkt).

With Spurs pursuing a possible deal for Porto star Luis Diaz this month, Gold had the following to say on the club’s interest in the young Hull winger:

“He’s one that Spurs have been showing a little bit of interest in, I think they’ve spoken to his representatives.

“Just kind of setting up future stuff – I don’t think that’s likely to be something that they’d move on this month. I think that’s more one for the summer. I don’t think there’s been any talks between Hull and Spurs at all. I think it’s just a case of just sounding out and seeing where the future lies with the kid, [a] talented young player that I think a lot of clubs have got their eye on right now.”

TIF Thoughts on Lewis-Potter to Spurs…

The youngster has certainly attracted the attention of other Premier League clubs already, with West Ham United, Leicester City and Brentford interested, according to reports.

We do wonder what it would mean for Bryan Gil’s future with Spurs if the Lilywhites were to bring in Lewis-Potter next summer given they’re both 20 years old and play in the same position.

The Spaniard has struggled to make much of an impression on the Spurs squad himself, having only played 86 minutes of Premier League action since arriving in the summer.

And with Spurs currently being heavily linked with a swoop for Luis Diaz, surely that would provide further question marks as to whether Lewis-Potter would feel there is a path for him to succeed with the Lilywhites.
