A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flooded to Twitter to share their joy at the news of Hugo Lloris putting pen to paper on a new deal.
The Spurs captain was into the final months of his deal with the north London club, where he has spent nearly 10 years after signing from Lyon back in 2012.

However, it was announced on Friday morning that the Frenchman had extended his stay in N17 with a new two-and-a-half-year contract which will see him stay until summer 2024.
Reports had emerged of potential interest in the 35-year-old from both Rennes and Nice, but with his stay at Spurs confirmed, these fans voiced their delight.

The deal for Lloris has come amid speculation surrounding the future of second-choice goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, with the Italian said to be unhappy with his role as Lloris’ backup.
