According to Fabrizio Romano, Spanish outfit Villarreal are interested in bringing in the Argentine this month, and it is believed the two parties are now discussing the finer details of a potential move.

The deal is believed to be on a loan basis and the north London club are open to the idea of letting the 25-year-old go, with Tanguy Ndombele also headed for a January exit.
