Newcastle United’s ‘worrying ‘ draw at home to Watford has caused a meltdown amongst the Toon Army who have made their feelings known.

Craig Hope posed the idea that not being able to control the game after scoring was the key downfall, with the midfield far from good enough to see the game out. He then goes on to say it’s not good that scoring just after half time was a case of scoring too early for the Magpies.

Will Newcastle be relegated?

No!

The fans shared his sentiment, claiming that multiple signings had to be made all over the pitch as it wasn’t good enough, with some suggesting the owners need to be ‘ruthless’ when it comes to a manager.

What the Newcastle fans said about Craig Hope’s tweet

“I agree. We lacked leaders in that midfield and it was worrying.” @nicholasnufc1

“Need a whole new team, never mind a couple of defenders.” @AzzaJay7

“Need two centre backs and two midfielders, and a striker.” @NUFC_Gallowgate

“We’ve needed a good centre mid for years and years.” @MichaelMidd90

“The lack of composure for so-called Premier League footballers is frightening! We’re crying out for some mobility in midfield as well as a commanding CB #nufc.” @Benji_jordan14

“Imagine if Benitez was sacked tonight… Would the owners be tempted to be ruthless and get their first choice manager in?” @davidriches

It’s clear that they’re unhappy with the direction they’re going in at the start of Eddie Howe’s tenure and the start of the new regime.

Can you name who scored the most league goals for Newcastle United in years gone by? Let's see if you can starting with 2020/21

Their worry is no shock, the Magpies are slipping further away from safety, with rivals taking advantage yesterday. Burnley are bottom by a point from Newcastle, but with the Clarets having three games in hand, the picture could become much bleaker. Results need to happen fast, along with new signings that add quality to the current set up.
