It has been a January transfer window to forget for Spurs fans to date, with plenty of rumours flying round as you’d expect, but no action being taken.

They’re not the only club with this record, but they haven’t made a single signing, or even offloaded anyone to potentially help get someone through the door. The worry though, is there are no concrete links to anyone that is close to a switch.

A worrying lack of action has left the Spurs fans annoyed. So when Last Word on Spurs shared the rumour that the club were going to battle Newcastle United for the signing of Nikola Milenkovic, the fans were annoyed.

Taking to the replies, the fans let their feelings known on Spurs’ strategy.

What the Spurs fans said

“THEN BRING HIM IN FGS!” @9Shxheer

“No wait, they will be monitoring all the players in the world and then on 31st Jan they will say they ran out of time…” @Fm21_Spurs

“Is he left footed? Will believe it when I see it, we haven’t even bid on a single player yet.” @StormyH2o

“Any chance we could sign someone now before we run out of time on the 31st?” @SteveDay17

“15 days to go. As usual cutting it fine. Never change @SpursOfficial, letting the fans down all the time.” @Thomasn48010532

“Double deal, get Vlah while you’re there.” @stanleyyb7

It’s clear to see that a lack of serious action is leaving the Tottenham faithful frustrated, especially with Champions League qualification within their reach.

Who wrote 'Hometown Glory' about their love for Spurs?

Antonio Conte joined the side mid-season, so to give him the best chance of succeeding this campaign, backing him in January is vital.

It doesn’t even have to be huge money or anything, but he’ll need a handful of players through the door that he wants and feels will suit his system perfectly.

  • Tony Borg says:

Levy wouldn’t know a quality player if he jumped up and kicked him in the plums. 20 years of poor signings is exactly why we’ve won nothing under Levy. And he has control of the purse strings. He’s not a shrewd businessman, he’s just tight. Lewis, Levy and ENIC OUT !!!
