Leeds United fans have been revelling in the news that Barcelona are interested in signing Rodrigo, if reports are to be believed.

The reports aren’t guaranteed to be Rodrigo, but they claim Barcelona’s target is familiar with La Liga and the Spanish national team to make the transition easier.

Should Leeds sell Rodrigo?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

They also reveal that the initials of the target are ‘RM’ – another box ticked by Rodrigo. Although Barcelona are struggling, leaving relegation candidates in the Premier League to the Catalan giants would be some switch for the forward who would be giving his agent a raise no doubt!

The news was reported by Barca Universal and shared via Leeds Xtra, with the Leeds fans buzzing with the news.

What the Leeds fans said about the Rodrigo links

“Take him as long as we have readymade replacement lined up.” @ronaallleeds

“Get our money back and a replacement, sell him.” @BenVarley4

“Get him out ASAP. Take 10 million.” @Michael38268762

“Amount of people in here saying get our money back?? The only club willing to pay £29m is #lufc. Current valuation I expect is 6-7m. Take that and I’ll pack his bags for him!” @N65590035N

“I’d sell him, he’s been a disappointment for me. Seems to not have found his position.” @michaeldurnin1

“Good, let him go, not good enough, had enough chances.” @HowellsU

It’s clear to see they’re happy for him to go, with the circumstances clearly showing how much they’re not a fan of the forward.

Given the injury problems suffered by Patrick Bamford and the potential for virus absentees, to lose that valuable squad depth must mean they don’t rate him much.

Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

He only has two goals in his 15 games for Leeds this season, which is disappointing for a forward player. He’s also had injury problems, so maybe moving him on and finding a replacement is best for all parties?
