A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans flooded to Twitter after their Premier League clash on Thursday night to vent their anger with the display of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Antonio Conte’s men secured all three points in a comfortable win in north London which saw them climb two points off the top four but with a game in hand still on the sides above them.

Who is better?

Despite cruising to the points against Brentford, not all fans were pleased with the display from their Danish midfielder who was marking his 73rd appearance for the Lilywhites.

With the top four now in touching distance, these Spurs fans slammed the midfielder who was making his fifth appearance under his new manager, Conte.

What did these fans have to say?

“Hojbjerg gets worse every week”

“imagine how good we’d be if Hojbjerg didn’t start”
“Hojbjerg makes me so mad”
“Hojbjerg propa ghost in midfield”
“Good start or the half meh end to it son been good Hojbjerg been abysmal less said about Sanchez the best COYS!”
“I don’t want to beat the drum over the Hojbjerg and Skipp partnership in midfield but it definitely doesn’t help us switch from defence to attack quick enough. Skipp has been superb tonight. Hojbjerg.. I’m starting to lose faith in.”
“This Winks bashing is from the blind. The last two games he came on (included tonight) he made a positive difference. Hojbjerg on the other hand is totally overrated”

Despite not pleasing all of the Spurs fans, the 26-year-old was able to maintain his impressive record of playing every minute of Premier League action since arriving in north London.

And it’s not a surprise these fans were left frustrated with the Dane after he missed a golden opportunity in the second half of the game to add to their lead.

The problem is, they both aren’t good enough, If we really want to win things then we need a new holding partnership, it’s as simple as that.
