A large number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left furious on Twitter over an image of their offside goal from Tuesday afternoon.
Spurs were held to a point on the south coast in contentious fashion, with Harry Kane seeing a second-half goal ruled out by VAR official Martin Atkinson.

The goal would have given Antonio Conte’s side the lead having gone into the break level after Kane’s penalty cancelled out James Ward-Prowse’s earlier strike.
A win for Spurs over Southampton would have seen the Lilywhites keep hold of their fifth-place spot in the Premier League table, however, the point has seen Conte’s men slip to sixth.

The second-half strike for Kane was then followed up by Fraser Forster’s own goal being ruled out for a foul against Matt Doherty as the Lilywhites searched for a winner.
And it seems with the north Londoners slipping in the race for the top four, these fans feel the officials share a lot of the blame in their disappointing 1-1 draw at St. Mary’s.
