Plenty of Leeds United fans have been left unimpressed by director of football Victor Orta after footage emerged showing him getting into an altercation during the club’s most recent game.
Over the weekend, Marcelo Bielsa’s men scored a last-gasp equaliser against Brentford thanks to Patrick Bamford’s 95th-minute finish. The game ended 2-2 and on the full-time whistle, Orta seemed to completely lose his temper with someone in the crowd as he shouted and gesticulated at them.
Will it be good for Leeds if the San Francisco 49ers buy their club?
Yes
No
The incident was caught on camera and shared by Football Daily on social media. It’s safe to say, some supporters were not so happy with the behaviours of their club’s executive.
Here’s what these Leeds fans said
“Is this clown really doing this at our own #lufc fans??”
“Embarrassing from Orta.”
“Big Vic doing his passionate fan cosplay routine again I see. Absolute joker.”
“Absolutely pathetic.”
“Not very professional.”
Respected football correspondent Phil Hay later explained on Twitter that a Leeds fan ‘had a pop’ at Orta earlier on in the game, and after Bamford equalised the director of football responded with anger as seen in the video.
Despite the dramatic point, it’s clear to see these supporters are not so pleased with the behaviour of the Spaniard. In the future, he may well perhaps have to control his temper when confronted with criticism from his own club’s fanbase.
