Leeds United fans have been reacting to news surrounding their upcoming Premier League game against Liverpool.

Leeds United will travel to Anfield on Boxing Day, hoping to do better than the previous times they’ve faced off against Jürgen Klopp’s men in the Premier League, losing two out of their three games since they were promoted back to the top flight.

To add to that, Leeds United aren’t in the best of form in general, only winning one game since the start of November.

Can you remember where Leeds finished in these league seasons? First up: 2018/19

The Premier League announced that Michael Oliver will be taking charge of the game, with Darren England in charge of VAR, news of which was relayed by @El_loco_jo for Leeds United fans for them to react to, along with some of the stats from Oliver’s previous games where he has been the referee, where. for a number of reasons, it didn’t exactly generate a lot of positivity from the supporters:

“Ahhh well with Oliver and England, it’s not going to be fun for us on Boxing Day.”

“A Newcastle supporter when we’re in a relegation battle with them. Stinks of corruption”
“Another one who likes the matches to be all about him. Great.”
“Two dodgy penalties coming for Liverpool again then”
“He was the one who missed the rather high tackle on Dallas wasn’t he?”
“They are all useless”
“VAR Darren England, oh dear, getting nothing there then!”

Given where Leeds United are in the table, they are going to need all the help that they can get in order to get away from the relegation zone, something they haven’t had from referees recently. They arguably should have been playing against ten men this past weekend, but didn’t see Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka sent off, so hopefully they can get some better luck with Oliver in charge.
