Football journalist Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on his latest YouTube video to discuss the future of Raphinha at Leeds United.

There have been reports over the course of the last few days suggesting Bayern Munich are showing interest in the Brazilian winger ahead of the January transfer window.

Will Raphinha leave in the summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

However, speaking on the 25-year-old’s future at Elland Road, Romano claimed the Bundesliga giants are showing interest in the Leeds star, but are yet to make an approach to the Yorkshire side.

Raphinha has played a huge role in Leeds’ season so far this season as he tops their goalscoring tally with eight goals in his 16 appearances for the Whites.

The Brazilian has been catching the eye on the international stage for his nation in recent months, and with his stunning form this season in mind, Romano had the following to say on the interest in the Leeds ace:

“From what I’m told, guys, nothing has been agreed yet between Leeds and Bayern. It is true that Bayern [are interested], as many other clubs – because also Liverpool one year ago and many others are following Raphinha. We’re speaking about one of the best wingers in Europe, he’s doing great with Leeds.

“So let’s see what is next for Raphinha. Leeds, at the moment, have no agreement with Bayern. It is true that they have an interest, it’s true that they’re following him. But nothing, from what I told, has been agreed yet for January.”

TIF Thoughts on Raphinha’s future…

There have been comments to emerge in the recent past from Raphinha’s agent which could suggest the 25-year-old’s long-term future may not be at Elland Road.

However, given Marcelo Bielsa’s horrific luck with injuries this season, we think the Whites should do everything they can to keep him at least until the end of the campaign.

Last season’s top goalscorer, Patrick Bamford, has missed the majority of the season due to injury, which has seen the Brazilian step up to the mark with eight vital goals in the league.

And with Bielsa’s men currently sitting towards the bottom of the table, we do worry where Leeds could end up without Raphinha in their side considering their next top scorer only has two goals to his name.
