Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on some transfer news to emerge following the arrival of new manager Antonio Conte.

Prior to Conte’s first game in charge, claims emerged from Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (via AS), suggesting that Giovani Lo Celso, Steven Bergwijn, Lucas Moura and Dele Alli could all be in danger of being sold, with Conte believed to be keen to sell all four.

Will Conte lead Spurs to silverware this season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

The Italian got the new era in north London underway with a narrow 3-2 win in the Europa Conference League against Vitesse on Thursday night, which started perfectly as Spurs shot into an early 3-0 lead.

However, it is worth noting only one of those four players mentioned actually started the game on Thursday (Moura), and only one of the remaining three (Lo Celso) came off the bench – albeit in the 87th minute (via Transfermarkt).

Spurs fans flocked to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the claims following the arrival of the former Inter manager.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Let’s gooooo”

“Conte already has seen enough of Lo Celso”
“Tears in my eyes”
“Already in love if this happens”
“Wow Conte knows ball”
“We might actually be serious….”

Alli and Bergwijn did not make an appearance from the bench on Thursday night, which may only add fuel to this story given there have already been links in the past regarding potential departures for both players.

That said, it may seem a little strange for Conte to have made a decision on players’ futures having only just walked in the door at Hotspur Way himself.

However, we are not surprised to see these Spurs fans pleased to hear these claims given the four players only managed a combined five Premier League goals over the course of last season (via Transfermarkt).
