A whole host of Newcastle United fans were delighted on Twitter to see Shay Given’s interview with NUFC TV.
The former Magpies shot-stopper spent 11 and a half seasons on Tyneside as the club’s number-one before joining Manchester City the same season that their Abu Dhabi takeover was confirmed, with whom he ended up winning an FA Cup.

Given was in attendance for Newcastle’s first game under new ownership which saw the Magpies fall to a 3-2 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur and he has now spoken about how well he was treated upon his return to St. James’ Park and that it felt like he was ‘never away‘.
A lot of Newcastle fans on Twitter were happy to see Given speak with the club and would love to see him back.
