Many Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to hail manager Antonio Conte after the Italian revealed that he’s evaluating them and will inform the club of who must go following the Lilywhites’ humiliating 2-1 defeat to Slovenian outfit NS Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday evening.

Spurs’ UEFA Europa Conference League campaign reached a new low following their dismal 2-1 defeat against the Slovenian minnows, with Conte’s side going down to 10 men in the first half after Ryan Sessegnon’s dismissal before the home side scored the winner with the last kick of the game.

Following the match, the Italian delivered his assessment of affairs at the north London outfit, warning his underperforming players that he is evaluating them with his “own eyes”, and will inform the club of what he wants to happen next.

Conte said (via Football London): “We need players with the right mentality and with the quality, players that deserve to play for Tottenham and aspire to be competitive, to fight for this shirt, to win something,

“For sure, we need this. I’m making my evaluations and then I’ll speak with the club, but I’m ready to continue to work in this way”.

Very few, if any of those who featured on Thursday, have given the Italian food for thought ahead of their upcoming Premier League clash with Burnley on Sunday afternoon, as the Lilywhites aim to continue their winning momentum in the league after defeating Leeds United 2-1 in their most recent league outing.
