Alasdair Gold has been discussing all things Tottenham Hotspur on his latest YouTube video to discuss the future of some of the club’s stars.

Following the arrival of Antonio Conte on Tuesday, Gold has picked out two players in particular to whom the north London club may look at potentially moving on in January, namely Dele Alli and Harry Winks.

Which player would you like to see sold?

The pair have had a difficult start to the 2021/22 campaign with Winks particularly struggling for game time in the Premier League with just two appearances to his name.

Dele got off to a promising start in the Premier League with 90 minutes under his belt in each of the opening five league games, however, since then, he has only featured for 62 minutes (via Transfermarkt).

Speaking on his thoughts regarding the opportunities Spurs may have in January to cash in on some of their players, Gold had the following to say.

“It’s sometimes that just managers see a little different thing and they unlock them [out-of-form players], you know, maybe a Dele Alli or a Harry Winks.

“My gut tells me, at this point, maybe they’re so advanced and it’s been going on so long – their malaise at Tottenham – that perhaps there’s an attempt to use them in January to bring in the funds for what Conte will want.”

TIF Thoughts on the duo’s future…

We find it difficult to imagine either of these players making it into Antonio Conte’s plans for the future of the north London club given how they have fared in the last couple of seasons.

When Jose Mourinho was appointed, both Dele and Winks received an initial boost to game time, however, both players saw that time in the starting XI fade away.

Both players have had their futures put under severe speculation in recent transfer windows and we think January could be Tottenham’s opportunity to offload the pair and provide Conte with the funds to mould Spurs into his own side.

Conte has already spoken of his optimism ahead of his new challenge and we feel success at Spurs may require some money to spend come January – and these two players offer good opportunities for Spurs to raise some funds.
