No other club from the Premier League’s Big Six would sign Dele Alli, Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has told This Is Futbol.

Alli has struggled for form this season, scoring just once in seven league outings. He was also left on the bench for three consecutive games, failing to come on for clashes against Aston Villa, Newcastle United and West Ham.

The last campaign was not a great one for Alli either, with former manager Jose Mourinho barely using the £27m-rated attacking midfielder.

Would Alli start at Tottenham's rivals?

There is no doubt that Alli has been on the decline since that brilliant 2017/18 season, where he reached double digits for goals and assists in all competitions under Mauricio Pochettino.

As a result, Roberts doubts any of Tottenham’s rivals would make a move for the England international.

“Dele Alli is only 25. Tottenham are one of the biggest clubs,” the former Spurs defender said to TIF. “Can you see Liverpool, Man United, Man City, Arsenal, any of those teams, buying Dele Alli? No, you can’t. Not a chance.”

With Antonio Conte coming in to replace Nuno Espirito Santo, it is another fresh start for Alli and his Tottenham team-mates.

If the Italian can get him back to performing like how he did during the Pochettino era, then Spurs’ top-four hopes could get a big boost.
