A whole lot of Newcastle United fans on Twitter were showing their love for the first video footage to emerge of Eddie Howe taking training.

The former Bournemouth manager was appointed as Steve Bruce’s successor on Monday afternoon and arrived at the club’s Benton training ground at 6.55am Tuesday morning, despite training not starting until later in the afternoon.

Will Howe succeed at Newcastle?

Yes!

No!

No!

Howe knows he has a task on his hands as he admitted during his first interview that ‘there is a lot of work ahead of us‘ to get the Magpies out of the situation they find themselves in.

Something else that appears to have endeared him to the fans is this training footage, in which he can be heard telling the squad, ‘A lot of people are stood still, stood still’s no good‘ during a training drill.

A lot of Newcastle fans on Twitter absolutely loved this latest footage.
