Can you name who scored the most league goals for Newcastle United in years gone by? Let's see if you can starting with 2020/21

Speaking to Virgin Media Sport after the game (quoted by The Chronicle), former Republic of Ireland midfielder Damien Delaney was quoted as saying “Jeff Hendrick is a man reborn. He looks like has rediscovered his desire, his mojo. He was brilliant in the first half.”

These comments were then relayed to Newcastle United fans via The Chronicle on Twitter, where they were left stunned at the idea of Hendrick being a good player:

“He can be reborn 10 times over and he still won’t be good enough.”

“Shame Azerbaijan and Qatar aren’t in the premier league”
“Hopefully it’s that he plans to stay in Ireland and isn’t coming back”
“Jesus clutching at straws”
“Never thought I’d see this”
“I watched that game. Not sure what game they were watching. He looked terrified of the ball”
“No he hasn’t. He’ll be first out the door in the new year”

No

Which is no surprise when you consider the numbers that he has put up this season, where he doesn’t rank in the top ten of Newcastle player in the vast majority of statistical categories (via WhoScored), so it would seem like a bit of a shock to the system to see him getting praise.
