Lots of international football fans have flooded to Twitter to vent their fury at the performance of Newcastle United’s Ryan Fraser in Scotland’s World Cup Qualifier.

The Toon’s midfielder started for Scotland on Tuesday night at right-wing-back against the Faroe Islands, however, he was taken off after 83 minutes.

With Steve Clarke’s side heading for a disappointing 0-0 draw, Lyndon Dykes popped up with an 86th-minute winner to seal all three points for Scotland.

Fans of international football flocked to Twitter to share their frustrations with the Newcastle ace for his display against the nation ranked 114th in the FIFA rankings.

What did these fans have to say?

“Ryan Fraser doing his usual nothing. Abysmal decision to rest Patterson.”
“Ryan Fraser offers nothing”
“Take Ryan Fraser off at halftime – anonymous tonight”
“Ryan Fraser embarrassing”
“Waste of a Jersey.”
“Ryan Fraser is the worse player I have ever seen”
“Ryan Fraser is stealing a living”

Over the course of his 83-minute spell, Fraser failed to have a shot, complete a successful dribble or complete a tackle as Clarke’s side maintained their second spot in Group F (via WhoScored).

With Newcastle returning to Premier League action on Sunday, it seems these fans were left far from impressed with the performance he put on against the Faroe Islands.
