Speaking on his latest YouTube video, Gonzo has been speaking about the latest claims to emerge regarding a potential investor at West Ham United.

Reports emerged on Thursday claiming Daniel Kretinsky is ‘close’ to buying a 27 per cent stake in the Hammers which could potentially lead to a full takeover in the future.

The report from Sky Sports has suggested the Czech’s initial stake in the club could be worth in the region of £600m-£700m and it could be announced as soon as the beginning of November.

This news comes just a matter of weeks after Newcastle United saw their controversial takeover go through which saw a lengthy ‘fit and proper’ process occur before the deal was eventually finalised over a year after initial interest was lodged.

And speaking on Kretinsky’s credentials, Gonzo had the following to say.

(11:50) “As I understand it, as well, proof of funds have been basically the approach, let me just phrase this correctly. The approach of interest in West Ham has been done in the way that you would expect not the way it was done previously.

“So the whole thing has a sort of official, authentic vibe about it really, doesn’t it?”

TIF Thoughts on the potential investment…

If there has ever been a time to invest in West Ham, the time feels like now. The Hammers are soaring in the Premier League as they currently sit inside the top four of the league table.

And on the European stage, David Moyes’ side are flexing their muscles as they currently top Group H having won all three of their Europa League games without even conceding a goal.

When you consider the struggles Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have endured in seeing their league form slip over recent years, West Ham’s rise feels like it can only benefit from the arrival of a man who is reportedly worth around £2.9B.
