Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed their frustration after both it emerged Callum Wilson and Jamaal Lascelles were in contention for the match against Newcastle United.
When the Premier League returns this weekend after the international break, Spurs will travel up north to face the Magpies at St James’ Park.
Not only could the end of the Mike Ashley regime see the Newcastle fans in a jubilant mood, but two of the club’s key players could also be set to make a return to fitness.
As reported in the Shields Gazette, Wilson and Lascelles ‘are close to stepping up their respective returns from injury’.
Fan page The Spurs Web shared the information on social media and it quickly had Tottenham sharing their concern.

These fans seem particularly wary of Wilson, who did net a 97th-minute penalty at White Hart Lane when these two sides met last season.
A hamstring injury has kept the 29-year-old out of action for the past four league games, while Lascelles has not featured for the club since the draw with Leeds United last month.
It’s not certain that either man will play in the game, but these Spurs fans seem to think they will.
