Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed their anger after Harry Kane was called up to the latest England squad.
After spending the summer seemingly angling for a move to Manchester City, the England captain ultimately stayed with Spurs.
However, following a slow start to the season, in which he has failed to score a single Premier League goal, a number of the club’s supporters have found it hard to get behind their wantaway striker.

After news of his England call-up was shared by the club on Twitter, many supporters were quick to make it clear they didn’t feel Kane had done enough to make Gareth Southgate’s squad.

The usually prolific goalscorer has struggled to find the back of the net this season for his club, scoring just three goals in eight appearances.
With Tottenham struggling for form of late as well, it’s easy to see why these Spurs fans are not so happy to see their underperforming player leave on international duty.
However, he did score for the Three Lions when he last represented the country, so this could perhaps afford him the chance to rediscover his goalscoring touch.
