Spurs fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the latest injury news to emerge after what was a disastrous international break in September for injuries.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Fantastic news ahead of the weekend.”

“That’s not a blow!!!”
“nothing about this is a blow to Tottenham”
“At last some good news”
“Happy days”
“Shame about his injury for him but FANTASTIC NEWS FOR SPURS!!!!”

Doherty has had a difficult time on the pitch since making the move to north London in 2020, with the defender only playing seven minutes in the Premier League this campaign (via Transfermarkt).

While his injury will be bad news for himself and Nuno Espirito Santo, with Doherty failing to carry over the form he showed during his time at Wolverhampton Wanderers, it seems these Spurs fans do not feel his absence will be too much of a miss at the Lilywhites.
