Former Tottenham Hotspur player Graham Roberts could see Newcastle United possibly coming in for Spurs pair Harry Winks and Dele Alli.

Sport (via football.london) reported that the Magpies were interested in signing Alli and the Sun also reported that Harry Winks was amongst the list of potential January transfer targets. Currently, Transfermarkt value the Tottenham duo at a combined £45m.

Do you think Newcastle will sign Alli and Winks in January?

No

When quizzed on which Tottenham players he could see Newcastle coming in for in January, Roberts told TIF: “I think Harry Winks, maybe Dele Alli, they’ve got a lot to prove to people so it’s a good start for them.”

Alli has made over 260 appearances for Spurs, scoring over 60 goals in all competitions, whilst Winks has made over 175 appearances, though he has really struggled for game time under Nuno Espirito Santo this season.

As for Newcastle, they made one permanent summer acquisition in Joe Willock from Arsenal for £25m and also brought Santiago Munoz in on loan from Santos Laguna [Sky Sports].

Now under new ownership, they will be allowed to spend up to £190m without the club breaking financial fair play rules in January but the Telegraph reported that the planned budget for the winter transfer window is £50m.
