Former Tottenham Hotspur player Graham Roberts believes that Cristian Romero is going to be an absolute beast for Spurs.
Romero completed his move to Tottenham this summer from Serie A side Atalanta after helping them to a third-successive third place finish in the league.
The 23-year-old was also named the best defender in Serie A last season and has hit the ground running for Spurs so far with a 67% tackle success rate and has won 20 duels.

Roberts has been really impressed with Romero and believes he will go on to be a great player for Spurs, telling This is Futbol: “I’ve seen him play three or four games now and he’s a quality defender. I saw him in a couple of games for Argentina. I watched the highlights of them, and he is phenomenal. He is going to be an absolute beast for Tottenham.”
Romero has featured for Spurs four times this season in the Premier League and also featured for Argentina in the Copa America 2021, helping them to keep three clean sheets in the games he was involved in and to lift the trophy after beating Brazil 1-0 in the final.
Alongside Romero, Nuno Espirito Santo also added Pierluigi Gollini, Bryan Gil, Pape Matar Sarr and Emerson Royal to his squad in the summer transfer window and will be looking to build on the club’s back-to-back wins in the Premier League.
