Newcastle United fans have been reacting to claims surrounding a potential move for Watford forward Ismaïla Sarr.
With the January transfer window fast approaching and the new Newcastle United owners having plenty of money to spend, rumours are starting to pick up when it comes to how they are going to spend it.
According to a report in The Daily Mail, the Senegalese forward has emerged as an early transfer target for Newcastle United as they look to break out of the relegation zone and towards safety in the Premier League.
The report would later go on to state that “Watford are unlikely to consider a January deal for the 23-year-old, who they believe is one of the top talents in the division”, but given the vast wealth at Newcastle’s disposal, that idea might be tested if they can throw enough money at the Hornets.
The news was relayed to Newcastle United fans by @NUFC360 for them to react to, and there appeared to be plenty of them on board with the idea of signing him:
“Great player. Very realistic target as well”
Would you like to see Newcastle United sign Sarr?
Yes
No
With nine goals and six assists during his time in the Premier League, he certainly could add a little bit of fire-power upfront as Newcastle look to avoid relegation.
