A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to share their frustrations with the latest claim to emerge regarding Steve Bruce’s future.

According to Keith Downie, Steve Bruce is set to speak in tomorrow’s pre-game press conference ahead of their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.

Will Bruce be in charge on Sunday?

Yes

Yes

No

No

This comes after reports claiming the 60-year-old was set to be sacked by the new ownership at the Tyneside club after last week’s takeover.

Toon fans flocked to the tweet from the Sky Sports reporter to share their anger at the latest Bruce claim, with many clearly expecting him to have been sacked by now.

What did these Newcastle fans have to say?

“Sunday ruined”

“Booooo”
“People are saying patience – but this is a massive own goal foem the owners.”
“Its a Crazy decision to keep on as sunday would be complete abuse towards him.”
“Worst news going into Sunday”
“Soul destroying”
“This is a joke. New owners they must SURELY know how deeply unpopular he is and what he represents. It’s a huge own goal if he’s still here in the dugout on Sunday.”
“The tweet that nobody wanted to read.”

Bruce is set to manage his 1,000th game on Sunday if he is on the sideline for the Magpies at St. James’ Park, while the Toon still find themselves searching for their first win of the Premier League campaign.

In what will be the first game under the new ownership, it is apparent these fans are far from impressed by the prospect of Bruce remaining as the manager for the game against Spurs.
