Leeds United fans have been reacting to the performance of Mateusz Klich and a substitution made by Marcelo Bielsa during their game against Arsenal.

Leeds United were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night thanks to a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates, and whilst it has been Leeds United’s best cup run to date under Bielsa, there are still appear to be some question marks about some of the players and Bielsa’s decision to play them.

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

Klich has been a near ever-present under Bielsa since the Argentinian’s arrival, and with the score at 0-0 on Tuesday, the Polish midfielder was brought on at half-time because, in the words of Bielsa (via Phil Hay on Twitter) “Klich would make more of attacking situations.”

However, when Bielsa’s comments reached the fans on social media, there seemed to be plenty of frustration about the decision, with many of them arguing that Klich was the wrong player to be brought on in that situation:

“Klich hasn’t got an attack in him at moment, always playing easy ball rather than trying to create something”

“The Klich change killed us. Contributed absolutely nothing. Looked knackered while he was on there”
“Klich added nothing but a gap in our midfield, honestly an awful start to the season for him”
“Klich hasn’t made any attacking situations in 2 seasons”
“That would’ve been understandable if Klich could actually play football”
“He proper screwed up tonight. But it’s becoming a regular habit with Bielsa.”
“I don’t buy it. He was going to make that substitution anyway just to give Forshaw some minutes. I don’t think they care about the cup.”
“Tbh Klich hasn’t really made any attacking situations all season so not sure why Bielsa thought he would against Arsenal”

Is Klich Leeds' best midfielder?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Having already bagged one goal and one assist in all competitions this season, he’s certainly shown some attacking prowess, just clearly not enough in the eyes of these supporters.
