Football insider, Fabrizio Romano, has been speaking on the latest episode of the Here We Go podcast to discuss all things transfer related.

Following the recent closure of this summer’s transfer market, Romano has been speaking about Tottenham Hotspur’s plans ahead of next summer’s window.

Do you think Kane will stay at Spurs next summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

During the summer, Spurs were heavily linked with both Lautaro Martinez and Dusan Vlahovic with the future of Harry Kane up in the air.

Tottenham did not land either of the Serie A stars and the club were unable to bring any cover at striker for Harry Kane at all, leaving the Lilywhites without a senior back-up for the talisman.

(15:13) “They are already looking at potential strikers for summer 2022. Next summer because this summer they had the chance of signing some strikers as a backup for Harry Kane, but they were not convinced about the players. And so they prefer to save money and invest next summer on the right player. This is [Fabio] Paratici’s style and mentality.”

TIF Thoughts on Spurs’ striker situation…

The Lilywhites lost a lot of goals during the pre-season with Gareth Bale, who netted 16 in all competitions returning to his parent club Real Madrid.

Kane is no stranger to picking up an injury during the season and Spurs are already suffering heavily with injuries to both Steven Bergwijn and Heung-min Son.

We think if Kane and Son were to be lost to injury then this would all but bring a halt to any plans Spurs have to make any of the European competitions this season.
