A whole host of Sunderland fans are buzzing on Twitter with Leon Dajaku’s first interview following his switch to the Stadium of Light.
The German arrived on deadline day from Union Berlin and he appears to be saying all the right things, as the club released an interview in which Dajaku said that he would be ‘happy’ when he gets to ‘see all the fans‘.

The 20-year-old arrives at Sunderland ready to bolster manager Lee Johnson’s attacking options, which may be required, as the Black Cats have all their League One victories this season have been by just one goal, apart from a 3-1 victory against Wycombe Wanderers, while they drew a blank in their 1-0 defeat at Burton Albion.

Sunderland are currently competing in their fourth consecutive season in League One having made the play-offs in two of the three previous campaigns, as well as playing at Wembley three times – twice in the Papa John’s Trophy and once in the play-off final.
The Black Cats have scored the joint-third-most goals in League One this season, but adding Dajaku, who has Bundesliga experience, could help Johnson’s side massively in keeping up this goalscoring form.
