The former Wolves manager is still yet to taste anything other than victory in the Premier League as Spurs boss, going through August with a perfect record of three wins, three goals scored and zero conceded from their opening three league matches.
Will Tottenham Hotspur make top four this season?
What makes it even more impressive is that Nuno has managed to mastermind those wins, including one against champions Manchester City, without Harry Kane starting either of their opening two league matches of the season.
What have these Tottenham fans been saying?
“Perfect start tbh”
“Love him already”
“Absolutely well deserved. Let’s go Nunoooooo!”
“Well done Gaffer. Brilliant start. #COYS”
“Would not have expected this at the start of the season.”
“Love to see it!”
“Best manager in the league”
Following his departure from Wolves at the end of last season, Nuno was linked with the Crystal Palace job, but ultimately didn’t get the role, while after Tottenham searched and failed to hire managers such as Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino, Nuno was given the hotseat.
He was certainly not their number-one choice given the managers listed above were targeted before him, however, he appears to be proving people wrong in terms of what he’s capable of as a manager, all while not having a fully-fit and focused Harry Kane for the start of the season.
